I am considering doing some traveling as a nurse. I don't really know much about it, but it seems as though you can make good money as well as have your living expenses paid. I have seen some places advertising $40/hr. Is this legit?
What about benefits and vacation/sick time? Is there anything I should be on the lookout for?
What would a good agency to work for?

I have done the $40/hr jobs and yes, they pay it. Trust me, you have to call these companies and decide which would be best to start but sign up with 4-6 of them so you stay busy and can get top dollar.
What about benefits/vacation?

"What about benefits/vacation?"
Most companies offer free housing or a stipend, travel pay, bonuses, 401k with match, ceu's, and day 1 health insurance. As far as vacation most offer PTO hours, but If you think about it, you are really on a vacation when you are on assignment! You can work 3 days a week and go explore new places on your days off.
