Proposal Topic (Urgent plz help)

Published

hello,

I need your quick help in my graduation research proposal.. I am a BSc. nursing student in ULSTER University.

My proposal topic should discuss any nursing aspect related to patient care in spite of the nursing field. The most important thing in my proposal is the supported reference articles ( I need a recent one not less than 5Years from now).

My time is running out and i did not find yet the proper proposal topic, please help. ( please inform me about any topic in mind, the most common topics are already covered by other students that's why i am in a hurry and would fall in a trouble!)

Your advice & quick response is highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

I can understand your frustration in trying to find a research article that could support a research response paper or purposeful that you are working on but I don't think that us giving you a list of topics is really going to help you in the long run. I would suggest that you think back to some patients that you have taken care of over the course of your clinical experiences (more recent cases that are associated with current clinicals are better) and do a search of nursing research articles from a database like CINAHL or Ovid or even PubMed. For example, for my research assignment I decided to search for articles about patients on ventilators because I have recently taken care of a few patients on ventilators. After searching CINAHL I found an article about family members of patients on vents. and how to increase their understanding of and increase their involvement in the care of the family member on the vent. I find it very interesting and relevant to my patients and so I am going to critically read and analyze the article and then suggest how the study can be improved and then further research that could be done on the topic. Perhaps its not exactly like your assignment but it sounds like your assignment requires you to search through a database for nursing research articles that are current and relevant to patient care issues. If you need any more help please let us know, good luck!

You know about Google Scholar, right? Go to http://scholar.google.com/ and type in any topic, and it'll give you references for it. It's a bit quicker than Cinahl or PubMed for making sure that there are a lot of research available for your topic.

How about whether family members should be able to watch CPR on their loved one? A quick Google search showed http://ajcc.aacnjournals.org/content/14/6/494.full from 2005, which is a meta-analysis of 28 other studies on the subject.

hello,,

thanks queenjulie for the web sites,,

yes i know about Google Scholar but i forgot to use it as i always goes back to the Athens,, it was really help>

regarding your topic,, yes i like it and also i think about it before your replay but the problem is that when i tryed to find a relationship between it and nursing practice,, mostly i found "nurses experience" which is somehow not at our level>

on the other hand, "nurses education effects on nurse's attitude" is not available that i have to find out at least 20 article>
