Proofreader for my scholarship thank you letter

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello,

I just received 3 letters from my school stating I will receive all of the scholarships I applied for. (Yay!!) The letters stipulate I need to send the college a thank you letter which will be sent to each organization. This is what I have come up with and wanted to see if anyone would proofread it to see if there's any grammatical errors or things I should change. Thank you in advance!!

Dear Scholarship Donor,

I was both surprised and honored to receive the John Weldon Scholarship. Words cannot truly express my gratitude. I appreciate your confidence in me and willingness to contribute to my future education. I have whole heartedly embraced this opportunity to complete a degree and I am a dedicated student striving to excel.

I'm currently enrolled at Clinton Community College majoring in Humanities and Social Science with a minor in Pre-nursing. The pre-requisites courses I am taking are centralized for Clinton's nursing program. The course load is demanding as is my home life. I have been able to successfully balance both, finishing this semester with a 4.0 GPA. Receiving the John Weldon Scholarship has lightened my financial burden; which will allow me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning.Every semester moving forward, I will challenge myself to maintain this level of academic excellence and receiving this scholarship will make obtaining those goals much easier. Your generosity is appreciated and accepted with extreme honor.

To me your contribution represents much more than just a monetary gift, it represents a belief in the promise of equal opportunity. By providing resources to students who need and deserve it most, you are helping to ensure that one's economic situation is not a barrier to their artistic and intellectual growth. Moreover, you've shown through your willingness to award excellence that you believe in the power of education and its ability to better both the world and the individual.

I humbly thank you for your generosity,

Melinda M. Clark
