Anyone going to Shriners Burn Lecture in boston for student nurses on friday????

does anyone know of a study that shows that mid-shift floating decreases patient safety.. our hospital is trying to enforce mid-shift floating now which i find rediculous. Thanks in advance!

i work 7pm-7am.. but there are also 8 hour shift people that come in at 11... the hospital is saying we (the 12 hr shift people) if it is our turn to float should give up the patients we had for 4 hours to float to another floor.. so i am looking for...

I havent looked at the review book personally..but I know one girl who studied from that book and didn't pass..but I can't personally say for sure.

I continued working as a SNAP/CNA. I think it truly helps you gain experience with communication as well as the hospital setup.

I used All in One Care Planning by Swearingen which worked good because it has care plans for all the specialties also

I work as a Student Nurse Associate at a local hospital.. I make about $14/hr... I enjoy it a lot.

I just found out I have a ICU preceptorship!!!! I'm wicked excited. I will learn sooo many useful skills. The one downfall is it is 11-7 which will be hard to deal with because I also have classes 2 days a week. ICU experience should definitely help ...
