Very well put. When dealing with non compliant or “difficult” pts I try to empathize and I wonder what their story is. We all have a story……
  10. Boy, what a bunch of BS. I would get an attorney and fight like hell.
  11. I think the pt. wife has the right y to request a nurse that has been vaccinated to care got her compromised husband. Just my opinion.
  12. This is a tragic case. The nurse bypassed important safety checks and this resulted in tragedy, she should lose her license, however I feel that ch as thing her criminally sets a scary precedent for us all. I hope she is not convicted. Just my opinion for what it’s worth.
  13. Hi, RN for 26 years. I have ADD. I find that I can get a little overwhelmed at times.
  14. The criminalization of cannabis is crazy. Many states are now legal, including my own state. If someone is not going to work or driving under the influence, it shouldn't matter. I'll get off my soapbox now.
  15. I hated it when I was still in the hospital. I understand the rationale behind it but I preferred the old way.
  16. That sucks. He will probably be reported which is so wrong in my opinion.
  17. The criminalization of Cannabis is ridiculous. Best of luck to you.
  18. I hear you. I am an empath with ADHD. I work telephone triage now and love it!
  19. Get a good lawyer and fight like hell. Cannabis should not be treated any differently than having a glass of wine!
  20. You could get your ADN, work a year, then get into an RN to BSN program.
  21. Hello. I am new to telephone triage and the EHR that we use is called next Gen. I am finding this EHR a little more difficult to learn than epic and Cerner were. Does anyone have any experience with Next Gen? Any tips for me?
  22. I could never be a traveler. They give you no orientation and throw you to the wolves. Heck, I've been a nurse 25 years and would feel overwhelmed. If you want to travel get in a couple of years of med surg first.
  23. Good lord have things changed. I can remember years ago we would occasionally check our own sugar, sigh
