How can I balance work and school to be successful??
You can do it the entire time, I did. Graduated top of my class however it takes a great deal of dedication and a lot of missed sleep. Drink plenty water and eat as healthy as possible.

LPN'S
I'm a LPN and #1 I don't play that bs and #2 it's hardly any RN's where I work in a state of the art rehabilitation center that works with all type of recovering orthopedic surgeries and CVA's my unit manager is a LPN and my other job is the same way RN's are few and far between and the ones I do work with I have no issues with them. We respect each other. I probably would never work in a hospital as an LPN because you will be treated like a tech but that's just me. And I'm a very new LPN and young I expected to deal with all type of crap but I know my stuff and I don't let anyone intimidate me.

What to study if no Kaplan or Uworld
I did not have the money but I charged uworld on my credit card and it was one of the best chances I ever took in my life. I purchased it less than a week before my exam and spent hours a day on it maybe you and a former classmate can go half I also used picmonic. With the mastery app you get a few 100 questions for free.

Nursing Experience
Yes you never want to seem as though you are being misleading when I was applying for jobs I said experience "in nursing field" and then Id specify what I actually did but in a answer where you are filling out an app and you select, I selected 0-1 years experience because clinical is nothing like real life.

Uworld percentage
Uworld 61% did roughly 800 questions took nclex-pn passed with 85 questions
- NCLEX review options

LPN school and working fulltime
It is very challenging but it can be done I did the exact same thing for about 7 months of my 12 month program for the same reason. Then I transferred to day shift 7am-7pm for the remainder because i was beginning get more tired and it was better for my little family. Surprisingly my grades were better when I worked night shift because I had more time to study. However I graduated Cum Laude of my class this past April, so if you put your mind to it you can do it.People think it a good idea to chug energy drinks I kept water close to me for long days and only used caffeine when it was necessary. Make sure you eat breakfast every morning regardless if you are hungry it jump starts your day.

LPN Traning is it hard? Any tips
Its not impossible however your must be very self motivated, adaptable, coachable and wise enough to learn from your mistakes.

How Do You Handle Mean Girls?
Alot of drama follows nursing school and I have had my share of it. At the end of the day you did not sign up for school for them and I highly doubt they are paying any on your tuition. I say this to say ignore the ignorance focus on your studies and your goal. Let their ignorance be your driven motivation to thrive and do better than them whenever the opportunity presents itself. Good Luck

Do you have to enjoy being a cna to make it as a lpn!??
Being a CNA is not for everyone. I respect you for trying and realizing that it wasnt for you instead of making the patients life miserable for them thinking that you just didnt like them individually. Truthfully i never wanted to be a CNA i thought it was a gross job to have but it humbled and motivated me to further my education once I got the hang of things. I have been a CNA a little over 4 years and im currently completing my LPN, i have 4 months left in my program. Being a CNA opened many doors for me and I have met wonderful people both patients and nurses. Its nurses that never had been CNA's before that are fantastic at what they do and its nurses that never been CNA's before and they really suck. Because you know what it's like to be a CNA i beleive you will have a greater appreciation for them as you transition into a nurse. Good luck to you

First lvn job... Not welcoming training nurse
I'm sorry you are going through this I can only imagine how uncomfotable it has to be. I often see new nurses at my job paired up with the seasoned nurses and their either are really good or really bad. I understand precepting is an important part of being new to a new enviorment and you should be comfortable with your preceptor. I know id notify the DON and if things didnt change id evaluate the pro's and con's of finding another job. Afterall you deserve the proper and fair training dont let anyone short you of that. Good Luck

Brand new lvn- memory care facility
Good luck there will be a memory care facility opeining around the time i graduate in March in my state. I plan on doing the same thing but my only fear for you is the fact that these are memory care patients which means they need a constant eye and redirecting however i wish you the best of luck and i confidence is key!

Ask an LPN (Questions about what we do and how to become one of us)
Im almost finish with my LPN diploma, however it's no need to "make your position known" you need to build a relationship with the CNA's or they can and will make your life hell. You're going about it the wrong way in order to get respect you have to give it and though you are a nurse now you are not too good to do any of the task that you've named. It's a team effort

Cost of LPN program?
That's a steal in Findlay Ohio the tuition is 23,000 for LPN and scrubs aren't included
-
LPN to RN pressure
It's easier said than done but pay them no mind I am in a LPN program now and a clerk at my job asked "so when are you going to go to real nursing school? like to get your RN" lol i simply smiled and reapeated the name of my school I said im in nursing school and walked away.

Stethoscope help
I ordered my stethoscope from all heart however your local uniform store should supply blood pressure cuffs. I know here in Michigan a lot if the uniform stores only carry the dual tube stethoscope which I had for a while before nursing school but it was very heavy so I wouldn't suggest that one.

Mid-Nursing School Crisis
I don't feel scared I just feel uneasy that im not really good with my medications. I also have held very high grades throughout my program but man am I afraid to take that NCLEX when im done. I do think being afraid is normal it shows that you care enough not to be careless. I feel that nursing is the kind of field that you can really go home and say you learned something new everyday so eveyone is learning even the lady who has been a nurse for 40 years still can learn something because every human is different. Hope this helps stay encouraged and finish strong!

Hardest part of LPN school and prerequisites?
I did not have to take pre reqs for my program its all kind of combined which I like I guess, however I had been to college prevoiulsy so I do have previous education in relation to science and medicine that helps. I am currently in the 6th month of my 12 month program and the hardest part for me would have to be exhustion. We change class every month,im a commuter 97 miles one way to school and I still work full time. It really takes alot of dedication that you must start with and continue every day you arrive at school or clinical. You'll find the way you learn and study best on your own just dont wait till your failing to relalize that your study habits need adjusment. Don't ever allow your enviorment to control your education meaning classmates will be a distration, teachers won't teach the same, and things will abruptly change in the middle of your program it's life/nursing plan to be flexible.

Shoes and watches for school
I ware champion mesh shoes that I purchased from payless. Those nursing shoes have to be broken in and I have yet to find a pair that I can stand more than 3 hours without wanting to scream. Don't spend a ton of money and purchase shoes that are comfortable to you. About 4 of my classmates of 15 have the same champion shoes they are light weight and very comfortable.

how to pass time while waiting to be accepted
Idk what area you're in but I would apply to other schools or I'd pick up hours at work, browse for places you think you'd want to work once you finish school.
