  1. Lol. Bridge burned-noted. Lesson learned-noted. I have no reason to lie about my reasons for resigning from my previous position. I don't know any of u and it wouldn't benefit me in any way to lie to u or myself about the events of my resignation. At the time when I resigned, of course, I was washing my hands of the place because the issues I had at the time appeared GREAT when I was in the situation but when I stepped back, they didn't seem so bad. But all in all, ur right! I left the way that I did for a reason and I will live with that decision. Thanks for ur input.
  2. No real reason. When I handed in my resignation letter, it stated effective immediately. At the time, I felt like I was done with the place altogether and wouldn't ever return so I didn't want to give them anymore of my time beyond that point.
  3. Thank you all for your input. They have a high nurse turnover & I had a good working relationship with my unit manager, that was why I thought even though HR informed me of being on the list, that I might still have a chance. Also, I know ppl who were fired & had a manager vouch for them & was able to return. But like someone said, they already told me my answer & I need to accept it. And I have. Thanks all for the input:)
  4. I handed in a resignation letter to my last place of employment, which stated "effective immediately". I was considering returning to the position, as me and my old unit manager still have a good relationship because she knows I was good to the residents. I was told by HR that I was put as "do not rehire" because I didn't do 2 weeks when I resigned. Do you think it's possible or has anyone every heard of a person being rehired at a company where they didn't complete their 2 weeks before resigning? Just trying to see if I have a chance of possibly returning to my old position.
  5. After the code, my immediate reaction was I did something wrong... And I kept thinking it, until I looked it up & saw that, that cracking noise is normal. And that multiple people have experienced it, I feel better.
  6. I am a fairly new nurse, still experiencing things. I actually participated in my 1st code today & I heard cracking & it's been on my mind every since that I didn't perform CPR properly. I wanted to google this to see if I was the only one whose ever experienced it. And I'm glad to know that I am not & that it is in fact normal & that I did perform properly. I love this website, it has almost every topic u could think of & if it's not here you can post it yourself. Ps. And the patient did start breathing again.
  7. I totally agree with u all about feeling like your at the workplace a lot & that was why I ultimately made the decision to transition to 12's. I like the idea of having the 3 days a week & multiple days off as it would benefit me with having small children. The anxiety I had about accepting the 12hour shift job over my current 8hour, was because I do enjoy my job & I know everyone. I'm familiar, so I was trying to weigh my options to make sure I was making the right choice. Thanks to everyone who commented your insight is greatly appreciated.
  8. I currently have a 8 hour shift, but I feel like im at work everyday. I have recently found a 12 hour shift which is 3 days a week. I'm wondering if I made the right decision to transition from the 8 to 12 hour shift, but I was looking for ppl who have experienced this b4 & transitioned from one to the other... Your input of pros & cons would be greatly appreciated.
  9. ATI is a great tool, with a 100% guaranteed pass, if you use it. Which means if you do everything they tell you, you will pass, but the thing that i liked about virtual ATI was in the event you don't pass they will work with you until you do... It was $125.
  10. Thanks for the info. I will definitely let u know my results!!
  11. Thats what a friend told me as well. I guess, a part of me doesn't want to get to excited with the pvt, just to get my quick results & find out I failed. Speaking of quick results, do u knw if they will be available tomorrow or Tuesday, if I tested Saturday.
  12. I took my test yesterday April 11th & got on the computer to do the pvt, I got the good pop-up but now I'm skeptical that it was an error because today is Sunday. Does anyone know if it works on Sunday's?
