You could apply as a surgical technologist (Nurse in your case) the hospital i work for hires LPNs to scrub

I know many RNs who move out here to ND to gain experience in ICU/NICU

I work in ICU as an PCT and i like it... see if ur hospital do weekend status so you will be able to focus on school.

Come to North Dakota ( Bismarck and Fargo) youll get hired quick. i have ran into many new grad RNs from CA who have moved out here to gain experience on there dream floor so there able to get hired back in there hometown

Come to North Dakota from Fargo to the western ND they need RNs BADLY...

Why not look in Fargo/Moorehead area cost is more affordable

I live in ND . ND is one of the lowest paying states for RNs and LVNs..most people come here to get experience then leave. If i where you i would get into RN program asap. I know some LTC pays more then hospitals out here.

Well at least in ND the CNAs out here make as much 17 hr

I take it he has experience under his belt he should get high 20s out there

Were im @ CNAs can make up to 17 dollars an hr and houseing here aint to bad like the bigger cities

In Fargo,ND ( Non -oil boom town) CNAs make 13 -17 an hour

If u have good credit youll be okay to get an apartment out here... rent will be from 500 and up depending on what u want.

I'm an ST iv been there 3 months... theres quite a few new RNs starting in all theres going to b 11 in orientation so at least there will be that support.

A position you can apply for as an LPN in a hospital is surgical tech/nurse. I see many postings saying either ST or LPN.

Try St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson, ND there looking for nurses....

Forgot to add I was told to wait to have my certification number b4 I could apply to places that require CNA certification

I was on the registry in 7days not including the weekend. ... I was checking everday on the website once I had passed lol

I graduated from a ST program a few years ago. I know that hospitals will hire a LPN/LVN to be cross train as an ST. I say apply to a hospital and see what happens you never know you might just get hired w/o going through an ST program.

U have to practice practice practice @ BP and Pulse. I had that on My skills test and did great way better then I expected.
