  1. this was me. I was almost done with my BA in psych when I decided I want to be a nurse. Thankfully I finished my psych degree and you wont believe how much its helped me after I got my ADN-RN. Ive even had people in interviews say a BA in psych isn't a BSN but they'll hire me because I have a bachelors and that psych is very helpful with nursing. I know for a fact I've gotten 2 job offers simply because I had it. Also while applying to get my BSN I only needed about 10 classes since most of my undergrad transferred.
  2. How does everyone like Sanford so far? What are the interviews like?
  3. Nursing home 31 an hour plus bonuses
  4. any updates? Im planning to interview with them soon
  5. I did but I wont be available that day! I'm so bummed out
  6. I hope so. Im starting a LTC job soon while applying for better positions.
  7. any more updates?
  8. Why do you advise to stay away from nursing homes?
  9. Im looking as well. Where are you from?
  10. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to process the application after transcripts have been received?
  11. I agree with Uworld being extremely helpful! I only used it for 2 weeks, did less than half the questions and passed first try with 75. Uworld is the best. Uworld was my only study information
  12. I recommend uworld as well. However I did get "very high chance of passing" before I even started to review for the nclex. I only did half of uworld( netflix kept calling) and I passed in 75.
  13. From your description it sounds like you didn't do the "trick" correctly. Once you put your card information in and click submit it takes you to a screen to confirm and then once you submit that you get the pop up.
  14. this thread is super long so Im not sure if my question has already been answered. I took the NCLEX RN this morning and it stopped at 75. I got an email 10 minutes later from pearson saying I finished my test etc. Tried the PVT 5 hours later and got the good pop up. Does this mean that I passed or maybe did I try the trick too soon? thanks!
  15. According to Uworld the answer would be C
  16. I thought you said you fell a point short but got a 667?
  17. in my state, CA, the BRN has processing times for applications. I applied end of May and haven't received anything yet
  18. I asked this same question but never got an answer. You have to register for both. When did you apply to the BON? I'm still waiting and I applied end of May
  19. the 35 page study guide is easily available if you search 35 page nclex study guide in the search bar
  20. A lot of hospitals are requiring that nothing be worn below the elbows for infection control. I hardly ever used a watch in nursing school. Every room had multiple clocks with second hands. I did have one of those small watches that attach to your shirt and if i was unable to see the clock I would use that
  21. It's usually a degree (ADN/BSN) you can probably check with your local college nursing syllabus and see
  22. I agree with most others that posted, also, you can try attaching your name to positive sites so that would show up first and the photos you don't want to see towards the bottom of a google search. You can make a small blog with your name and a nice professional picture or a Facebook with decent pics or something similar. directing traffic to these sites in the meantime while you get the rest figured out well help further with getting the inappropriate pics off or at least someone would have to click through some pages to find them
  23. When I did it there was no wait
