  7. Congratulations new RN's :)
  8. Thanks for posting a nice summary reference for everyone :)
  9. Great advice tlc4u. I would also suggest speaking with your professors and asking for assistance from them. Many professors are more than willing to help students who ate obviously trying. Just ask for help early in the semester rather then waiting until you are already failing. Best of luck. :)
  10. Thanks Beau4me06 for posting such helpful advice. Good luck BostonStudentNurse, let us know how things go. :)
  11. What a great scheduling resource. Thank you for taking the time to write it out. I'm sure it will be very helpful for many students.
  12. Thank you for having this appear on the current threads again. Great resources to review while on break between semesters :-)
  13. Wow! So kind of you to share this info.
  14. I have a dog too. I take her for a walk in the morning before clinical and a long walk afterwards. My family let's her out once during the day. If I didn't have my family, I would hire a dog walker. I have had a dog walker in the past and it worked out great. It was not too expensive and well worth it to me and my dog.
  15. Congratulations. Good luck next semester in A&P.
  16. keep that positive attitude. You can get through 9 weeks.
  17. Thank you schalke20 for sharing this helpful information and links
  18. I'm reading by the light of my hurricane lamp. Reading the first 5 chapters of my Patho book for the first day. We have been without power 31 hours and counting. We lost electricity 3 pm Saturday in VA.
  19. We use ATI in our program. We are assigned chapters (can read online or paperback book) and there are 6-10 questions at the end of each chapter. Near the end of each semester we are given the id codes to take a practice final exam. The last day of class we take a CAP (?) final exam, which we were told relects the NCLEX questions that couldbe asked based upon the course (nutrition, fundamentals, med surg etc). The final exam is graded based upon levels 0-3...which determines one of our grades. If I remember correct, level 3=100, 2=90, 1=70 and 0=60. We still use our Potter & Perry or Iggy books, but ATI chapters give the streamlined version of information. I like to review ATI prior to our tests so that I get a quick outlined review of everything. Does other nursing program's use ATI differently?
  20. Your residents are lucky to have such a caring person to help them
