  1. Thanks quoting me angelvenice.. Anyway I made a thread months ago about Assingnment&Delagations. I hope some of you may find some time to drop by there and check. It might be a help on you guys. Just awhile ago I replied there but anyway I will repost it here too. I am also a Filipino and living here in California. here is my last messages there.... Hey guys, sorry I just come back here. I am very glad that this thread has been a good help for some of you. Anyway, for those who are asking about the links and free sites it's on page2 no.14 of this thread and the links included there were LaCharity 1st Ed. just click it and download on your computer. I think Allnurses blocked one of the link there so I'll just put it here in a manner that you all have to put it together all the right words. here we go it's.. r..n..p.e.d.i.a..dot..com in this site just focus more on 1.infection control,2.Leadership& Management 3.Medical&Surgical. I highly recommend to master the infection control (my checkin hez tb? mnemonics?) and delegation&prioritization. Print them and post it in your wall or any moment you turn your head you'll gonna see it. More importantly.. Be FOCUS and develop/stick on your ROUTINE! Make a promise to yourself and make a Trade..(ex. giving up browsing your Facebook for the meantime as it hindrances to your review and your new facebook is this site allnurses.com and any NCLEX related sites. Another thing..giving up your nightlife is a must, don't put your cellphone by your side while you are on your review, NO TV or DVDs or angry birds game/any games except on your unscheduled time. Your priority for now is passing the NCLEX than anything else so embrace it. Above all PRAY and have faith. Trust me everything will be fine. I know sounds spoon feed motivation but some of us needs reminders. in advance and God bless you my fellow RN's On the side note. STAY POSITIVE, DON'T ever allow any single negative engulf you& STAY AWAY from negative people and environment because they're contagious. Yes? Alright! For those who ask about study buddy I could be available if you are close to Hayward, California it's in Bay Area. Though, I cannot guarantee to be with you most of the time but at least I'll do my best as I can on our meeting.. It would be in the Library just in case... You can normally see me there anyway self studying Spanish language it would be best if you can go with me too hitting the gym right after study/review.Remember NCLEX is very stressful so exercise is the best answer for it. I could lend my books too just in case you don't have. K! Just message me guys.

  10. Hey there.. I took mine last August 16 for CA NCLEX-RN.. I received my Board Certificate on the 22nd, my license ID was 3days after I took the test. I think the best thing you can do is to call the CA BRN. God Bless!

  12. Hi! Jaye, Congratulations :dancgrp::dancgrp: I took my NCLEX-RN in San Fransisco last August 16 for 8am schedule..seen my name on CA BRN website on the 18th around 3am. and got my license ID on the 19th.. I received my Board Certificate on the 22nd.. so in just a week I got everything I need. I do agree to all your post up there:nmbrn: Went there with prayers.. I answered every questions with Him :nmbrn: My exam ended @75 question and left the testing center with prayers. God knows I didn;t know all those questions but I think I survive because of my faith on Him. Though, I study a lot too.. I like the way you say "you dropped off the face of the earth" for this exam.:lol2: Well, basically we almost have the same principle.. but mine was be SELFISH.. in a sense that I isolated myself from my usual environment and routines.. 1st applying some rules... one of these were.. NO cellphone on my 8-12hours review or if possible non at all. No FB/Internit access except allnurses.com and practice test on some useful websites...No TV and sad to say NO GYM too as I normally did. No Movie and night outs., Just plainly REVIEW..and REVIEW.. my basic entertainment was still REVIEW. Sunday was my time healing and obligation to God. eventhough its part of my routine and existence since young to attend the Sunday mass. Sometimes I missed it too. :saint: but fortunately not on my entire self review. God will always be my strength anytime I feel to defeat or to give up something. Anyway, Congratulations again and Congratulations to those that are going to take their test. PS: I advice to those test takers if they are planning to take in San Francisco to spare time atleast 15minutes to meditate on the fountain area of Levis Plaza this place is just in front of testing center. Drop or throw a coin in there and make a promise to yourself. It would help a lot for you to relax before going to the testing center. Ok I promise to myself that its going to be my first time to take the test and I am not gonna comeback in Gods name. I believe those people who took the test that were very prepare but ended up failed the test because they dont know how to manage their stress/anxiety.
  13. Hi there try the PVT tricks if you got a good pop.. CONGRATULATIONS.. If not..(knock on wood) atleast you didn't prolong your agony.. hopefully you made it! On topic. My last question actually I dont have any idea for the whole thing.. all I did was to chose the most complex and critical answer and my computer went blue @75question.. I didn't even bother myself if I was wrong or not because I don;t have any idea about it.:saint:
  14. @pinayme your welcome... @ann.. For my 2.5 months of review 10-12hours a day.. self review I started 100items a day.. later 100items in one source and 50 items on another sourse until I progress to 200 items.. then I slowly got back to 100Q a day(last 2weeks)..that is excluding those 30items or more I got from other sources like Saunders Comprehensive which normally I reviewed 2-3chapter a day.. those the interesting one only after reading it I always make sure to answer the free test at the end of the book. To tell you honestly my score was really low. Anyway, since I compile all of my score on my notebook I'm gonna put some of it here.. All in all I guess I only did almost 4000 excluding the book free question, la charity, rn..pedia, and some online I answered. Saunders 100 items 6/16/11 CONTENT 60% 6/21/ CONTENT 52% 6/24/ Level of Cognitive Ability 62% 625/ Level of Cognitive Ability 64% 6/27/ Client Needs 53% 6/29/ Client Needs 58% 6/29/ Integ Process 60% 7/8/ CONTENT 62% 7/12/ Integ Process 69% 7/19/ Client Needs 62% 8/11/ Alternate Item/SATA 52% Incredibly Easy CD from my BOOK 100 items 6/22/11 All Content 56% 6/28/ All Content 56% 7/1/ All Content 69% :up:from here I realized to have a break down my strenght and weakness which is Adult 36/53 =68% Child 13/18= 72% Maternal/Neonatal= 11/17 65% Psychiatric 7/8 =88% Prof. Issues= 2/4 50% This was a kind of evaluation from me on which topic should I have to focus more. you will really know it if you have break down or diary of all your daily activity. Mine has a complete date and time started and time end. 7/12/11 All Content 49% ( I think I'm so tired here.. for whatever reason I make a promise here) Adult 25/51= 49% Child 13/18 =72% ( this area made me smile) Mat/Neo 5/19=26% Psych 5/9 56% Prof. Issues 1/3 33% 7/13/11 All Content 58% Adult 28/53=53% Child 11/18= 61% Mat/Neo 8/13=62% Psych 6/10= 60% Prof. Issues 5/6 83% 7/17/11 60% 718/11 73% Adult 36/51=71% Child 16/17 =94 Mat/Neo 8/17=47%( alarming! thats why I did focus on my review here plus the random facts so not to neglect other areas. Psych 9/10 90% Prof Issues 4/5 80% ==I did up to 9 session here== Then I proceed to Exam Cram which only gives me low 50s to high 60s.. I also break down the first 75question if how much I got from there.. if 100items how much I will get.. so on so forth.. My Kaplan( the free online)was so awful I started to Question Trainer 7=42%, QT1=44%, QT2-61%, QT3=56%, QT4=44%,QT5=52%,QT6=53%.. The uniqueness about my review the more wrongs/failures I had the more absorption/retention's I got because I consider the failed topic as an enemy.. I said to myself the next time I'm gonna see it I will make sure I'm gonna win for the next round. Make a story if possible.. in terms of therapeutic level or lab values try to ask yourself are they relevant to some of your relatives or families birthday.. or whatsoever.. as long as you can remember it and helpful for your learning. Post them on your wall near to your bed or anywhere around you. My poor computer has a lot of post it too even my television because I dont have the reason to open it on my entire review. Now everything is back to normal after I passed the test. This is just my opinion.. I guess guys it better to make a study plan first.. then if you have it.. develop a routine.. consider it as a fun.. a game..(like me I got 4 colors of pen..red,black,green and blue.. I must use each for 25question.. which ever pen got the high score.. I rewarded the pen to answer in my short test using it alone..On my review my book and my pen are my best friend and I treasure it. I know it works on me.. so what ever works for you just do it..God fellow nurses.. Please put God... your God above all! :saint:
  15. @ futurehealthcarewrkr.. I took NCLEX-RN CA last August 16 Tuesday@8am.. I have learned I that they posted my name on the website Friday around 3am.( cant sleep that time though) Saturday morning I received my license ID.. is it the Board Certificate you mean to wait for 4weeks? On topic: The day before of my exam I'm still studying but just the random facts up to 7pm then I sleep around 8:30pm... I ate nice food and took benadryl to make sure to get an ample sleep.. woke up the following day around 4am.. while on my way to the testing center I'm still studying the random facts.. around 6am I was at the testing center already but just the outside.. still reading.. 7am I give up my reading and went to the fountain area at Levis Plaza just across my testing center.. spent time there for 20mins to have some relaxation and short meditation and prayers.. funny aside I throw some quarters on the fountain and make a wish..7:30 Im already at the testing center and all set for the game.. Anyway, I am a short term memory person and reading before the test works for me. I ended the test at 75Q with 2.5hours. Goodluck on your test. Do whatever works for you. God bless!
