  1. My mother ( a tiny 5'1 thin person so that lead to a lot of back and neck pain) recently got her breasts reduced. She couldn't be happier... or "perkier" :uhoh21:
  2. I;m guessing around $8.00 an hour. However u can check by going to http://www.salary.com and looking up yearly wages around where u live.
  3. Purdue University Calumet And maybe later somthing else .. heh I dunno
  4. lol, Yeah i get carded for pg-13 movies. ugh I ALWAYS have an ID on me! My boyfriend almost didnt get let in a movie. he is 19, almost 20. And he didnt have any form of Id on him, so my friend, who lookes about 28 had to go buy him a ticket. I cant blame the ticket people though, he is 5'6-5'7, thin, and looks very young.
  5. Born In Pittsburgh, Lived In Philedelphia for a bit, Lived in Conygham PA for awhile w/ my Noni , I went to kindergarten there actually. Sugarloaf Elementary school lol. Great name. I now live In Merrillville Indiana. How did i end up here? Dad got transfered over. He works at the mills. Im still a pennslyvania girl at heart. So much so, that I probably mispelled not only the name of the state, but all the places that I've lived in there lol.
  6. When I was 15 or 16, I was at Sams club, and I went to get a sample from one of the many uh sample tables at Sams. Well, as I was about to pick up a sample of some ham, the sample woman said. " Oh did your mommy say you could have that. WE cant give sample without parent permission to anyone under 12." Yeah lady.... guess I'm just an "over developed" 12 year old. I mean, I am really short but geez!! I dont know, ppl either mistake me for really young cause Im short, or mistake me for being in my 20s because I always look so serious and I wear alot of sweat shirts or somthing(and i act like im 40 but nevermind that). I also have had this huge silver streak on the right side of my head since I was 7. yes grey hair at that age. o.o, but i cover it up with dye usually.
  7. lol funny, however I dont think I would do #3 #7 #8 uh #12 #14 #18 #20 #22 #23 #26 #29 #35 #37 #38 #40 uhh #45m (defiently) and #46... Oh my... I think there is somthing wrong with me.
  8. I agree, people in agony and fear in their last moments of life has to be extremely hard to see...
  9. I find that especially horrible...faith is a wonderful thing, but many of these people who promote faith healing(the "healers" themselves mainly)....they dont know what it can do to people.
  10. I'm terrified Im going to make a REALLY bad mistake when i become a nurse, but i dont know, I dont reallly hold grudges against myself... which is good..less stress=really good.
  11. hehe i love it! very funny ^_^!
  12. The median expected salary for a typical Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology in Gary, IN 46410, is $53,409. This basic market pricing report was prepared using our Certified Compensation Professionals' analysis of survey data collected from thousands of HR departments at employers of all sizes, industries and geographies. Um somehow... after reading all this, this info seems wrong Salary.com told me this! 25%ile- $47,776 50%ile- $53,409 75%ile- $58,824
  13. I am a very strong christian, so yes i do believe that Jesus was ressurected, science cannot explain some things. God is more powerful that science, and with him all things are possible. :) When i say i am a strong christian, i mean really strong. I go to the Church of Christ, and we speak where the bible speaks and are silent where the bible is silent. that meas we do not celebrate jesus birthday because the bible mentions no such date or says we should celebrate is.. so x-mas is not a religious thing same for easter. "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book." Rev:22 18-19 (oh i think thats it, i dont claim to know everything since ive only been a christian for about 4 1/2 years.) This probably seems strange to most people... heh
  14. Im a secretary.. haha those all sound like me
  15. HI, you might recognize me from such posts as; "whats is like to be an oncology nurse" and "whats the worst thing you have seen in the burn unit" Anyhow, i am curious to know what the worst thing you have seen as an oncology nurse (or any nurse who has sen someone w/ cancer) (e.g most disgusting, saddest.. ect...) Might seem weird that i keep asking this, but i want to know if i can handle the job or not! :uhoh21: ( i must admit, i am a BIT nervous) Lookin' forward to your replies... ~Jeri:coollook:
  16. Hi all, Burn unit is another one of my intersts. I was just wondering, what is the worst thing you have seen?(most disgusting, saddest ect...) Thank you Lookin' Forward to your replies ~Jeri (mrs.mojica) Russell
  17. Chibi Baka replied to gwenith's topic in Burn
http://www.ameriburn.org http://www.traumaburn.org/traumaburn/team/nursing.asp http://www.peds.umn.edu/divisions/pccm/teaching/acp/burns.html http://www.nursesworld.com/er_peds3.htm I didnt go through these too much, but hopefully they may be helpful. After oncology, working in a burn unit is another one of my interests, reading all the posts here is making me think twice about oncology. These are 2 things I would really like to do. Im not sure which i will choose, oh well, i havnt even started college yet, im sure my mind will change a million times
  18. I know this job is very challenging. I still feel some sort of pull to get into the field though. It must be so difficult to deal with patients and their families though. Ive never seen someone w/ a severe case of cancer how bad can it get?
  19. Hi, this is the kind of nurse i think i want to be. I would like to know some things about the job. How are the hours usually? How much free time do you have for your family during the week? How is the pay? (curious ) DO any of you have a masters degree? ANd if so, are their any benifits w/ that? What are the ups and downs of the job? hehe i know that sounds like alot of questions, but im so curious so hear it straight from nurses and not from some book. Looking forward to hearing from someone!!! ^__^! please please please lol:chuckle
  20. Feh, work is over rated I work now and im out of the house from 7:00 a.m until 8:30 p.m And im still in highschool Im gonna leach off my parents for atleast one more year I really dont want to live w/ them for 4 yrs though! 21. wow thats wonderful :) thats somthing you should remember your whole career maybe even your whole life.
  22. lol you know what, i think i;ve seen you write that in every topic on this board.
  23. Goodness, some people are just dumb. I swear thats the most popular belief among teenagers over here. Whenever i talk to someone they ALWAYS say blah blh blah i wont get pregnant he pulls out... Me: *blank stare* Are you serious?! i mean goodness its not like it all comes out at once or somthin! I even had someone tell me that her boyfriend pulls out when he pre cums.. im just thinking.. is that possible.. stuffs comes out more than 2 times durin the whle process. Thats it. Im destroying the human race (is that a bad way to talk for a future nurse )
