Any advice for a Pre nursing student :)
You will certainly be very busy, just starting out I wish some would have told me that your gpa will be highest at the beginning of your college career so keep it up! When your friends are enjoying the college scene stay focused! Once that GPA goes down it is so tough to get it back up and nursing school definitely weed you out by a low gpa. Good luck!

NCLEX in 4 days... Needing advice.
Get to those areas of weakness and study content, to try to do questions and then study based on wrong answers is backwards and will lead to gaps in your knowledge. Good luck you still have plenty of time!

Need advice on HOW to study for nclex-pn!
I am not a big fan of exam cram but seems like you are on the right track. Def make sure you add psych medications and disease, diabetes, isolation precautions along with donning/doffing ppe and which patients you should see first! Good luck!

NCLEX RN in two weeks! What should I do?
Your test is close coming up so at this point you better focus on questions. Try to find a way to deal with the anxiety. You can not go into the exam thinking about the last two times.

Don't call yourself a failure, you gave it your best and you didn't pass. It happens all the time, this is a difficult exam and unfortuantely graduating from a nursing program does not guarantee passing NCLEX. Don't give up, you can do it!

Help passing NCLEX
You have taken this test enough to know exactly what you need to do to pass. Kaplan questions can be distracting and hasn't worked for you in the past. Try to get a NCLEX review that offers exactly what you are looking for. There are many out there.

NCLEX!!! how to study???
Make sure you definitely know foundation. Since you have already taking this exam, you should be able to study without much anxiety and by now you know where your weak areas are. Stop doing questions and go back to the foundational knowledge.

Australian nurses taking NCLEX exam
Aww don't fret, I knew a nursing student in Australia and I was laughing because the way you guys do things is completely different from the states. She had to take NCLEX 2 times before passing. There are lots of resources online but it would probably be best to do a NCLEX review of some kind so that you can change your way of thinking. Good luck!

Do nurses have to clean up vomit?
If it comes out of the body we are assumed to clean it up. I actually had a patient throw up in my bare hands one time. I was a new nurse and didn't know how to protect myself on the job. You will learn survival skills soon enough.

Are they oversharing or am I a prude?
LOL you will realize that most nurses have the same problem, I think it's because we are so busy that we hardly have time for friends so co-workers/classmates take on that role instantly. Also because we are so used to having access to people's private/personal information we internally have problems with our own personal boundaries with others. Please refrain from falling into this habit, it is not ok. And you know that everything that they tell eachother is shared with the next person they run into.

Any CNA's with dreadlocks, I have a few questions:)
I think individuals should have their freedom in hairstyles but we have to be realistic. Please consider the working environment is it a place where different personalites/opinions are encouraged or is everyone encouraged to fit into an image. I know it may seem unrealistic but as a traveling nurse I have seen so many units where clicks made it impossible. Hairstyles, language, even choice of ethnic meals were objects of ridicule and scrutiny. It is sad that you even have to ask the question.

Is being a CNA beneficial?
I went through nursing school without being a CNA, however I did do home health which involved alot of personal care. There is no right or wrong way to start your nursing career. Of course you want an edge but there are lots of ways to stand out, do research during the summer or volunteer in your preferred specialty. Organize a food drive or blood pressure screening, these are outside of the box things which will look great to future employers. You should appreciate your CNA's because they are people, no matter how much or little they do.

Need help! I am a first NCLEX-PN taker and failed.
Take the test again soon, start all over with studying as if you have never taken NCLEX before. You probably don't need much more NCLEX information, seems like you had plenty of time to study with your resources. You might want to focus on if you retained the major points. Good luck studying!

NCLEX PN In 3 weeks..any tips???
If you feel like you have exhausted your learning potential then you are probably ready to take the exam and will do very well! In the mean time go over your weak areas but don't force your self to study, review lightly the last week. When students continue to study to the max especially with lots of NCLEX material they will find conflicting information about which NCLEX answer is best. This will cause the student to second guess what they know which is not good a mindset to go into the exam with.

Medications on the NCLEX
Please don't try to memorize hundreds of medications, that will just leave you frustrated. Try to member classes of medications by system example cardiac (beta blockers, ace inhibitors, calcium channel blockers)then focus on their action, potential negative effects, and contraindications. Good luck studying!

Trying to pass NCLEX PN
With God all things are possible Watch out using so many resources don't want to confuse yourself. I applaud your zeal with all those materials, start over like you have never taken it but pay special attention to the areas you don't know.
