Hi Everyone, I need the expereince nurse practitioners help in answering these questions. I attend Maryville for my FNP and for my role development course we need to interview a nurse practitioner. I do not start clinicals until the fall so I do not know or have anyone to interview. I will greatly appreciate if you guys can answer the questions listed below so I can start my paper.   1. Give the interviewee's name (or initials) and title, type of practice, and date of interview
  2. Provide personal history including education
    • How did you decide to be an APN?
    • Where did you go to school?
    • How did you find your present job?
    • What did you do to market yourself?

  • What is your have a job description?
  • How did you negotiate salary and benefits?
  • Describe your typical day, patients, and average number of patients daily.
  • Describe the setting in which you work.
  • How do you fit into the organizational structure?
  • How are you evaluated?

[*]Describe how the APN functions using the APN core competencies: direct care, consultation, collaboration, research skills, clinical and professional leadership, expert coaching and advice (teaching), and ethical decision-making.

[*]Describe how the APN uses cultural competency within his/her practice.
