Professional based groups and committees?

Hi all,

I am a bsn student in my senior year. For one of my classes, we have to find and observe some kind of professional group, committee, or agency that meets in the hospital, preferably that has RN presence. I was wondering if any of the RNs could tell me what type of groups they have like this in the hospitals? I know there is usually a Policies and Procedures committee, but I was just wondering what else was out there? Our professor didn't really give us any direction, she wants us to find the meetings ourselves! Thanks in advance!
