privileges

Question,

I currently work at one hospital and my practice expanded covering a second hospital. Can the initial hospital have the ability to revoke my privileges since I will now be working for 2?

I have the same collaborating MD at both as well as at both locations. The initial hospital is trying to revoke my privileges because they are upset my practice has expanded. There are no malpractice grounds noted. Just because? Can this happen? anyone else ever have this happen?

Just trying to get some feedback. It does sound right to me

Sounds crazy to me. I'm credentialed at five hospitals and have never had issues.

That is crazy. Typically, hospitals benefit from granting privileges to providers because it's a way for medical practices to bring in patients which translates to hospital revenues. Unless the second hospital is competition for the first hospital who perceives the practice expansion as a way to take patients away to the second hospital.
