Depends on your state. In WA there is the Police and Nurses Credit Society which provides insurance to members. I don't know of a similar thing in Vic though.
I don't know why it matters - I just want the best coverage and price for my own age and health history. http://www.iselect.com.au has several plans you can compare online.
I have had insurance for 8 years with NIB. And are happy with my coverage but the cost is getting a bit much.
I just thought that maybe if there was a Nurse's only insurance, then it maybe cheaper.
Just looking at other options that are value for money for what I need.
I have been on iselect. And on the Government site that lists all insurance providers.
Oh well. looks like i'll stay with NIB for now.
Oh, well in that case - there may be professional nursing organizations which offer discounts for insurance with third party providers. I would check with them, eg. ANF - according to their website, "ANF members have access to Union Health in the city for medical, optical and dental care at discount prices. Phone: 03 9662 3322."

Do we actually have a private health insurance fund JUST for Nurse's?
Or am I just not seeing anything around, in front of me, offering it?
There is insurance for Doctor's. Teacher's. Police. Railway worker's. Timber Feller's even Druids!
Anybody know?
Thanks.
