Private consent order

Is there such thing as a private consent order. Someone told me that there was such a thing but I just wanted to see was it true that it would not show on the board of nursing website if you're on probation

I found the following on the The Lento Law Firm's Georgia Substance Abuse Programs: What Nurses Need to Know Before Signing Consent Agreements page.

Consent orders can be private or public. A private consent order requires a nurse to admit that there has been a breach of practice laws and rules. In exchange, the nurse participates in a series of alternative-to-discipline programs, and the order remains confidential between the licensee and the board, remaining inaccessible to the public. Public consent orders, on the other hand, require an admission of misconduct and participation in substance abuse programs but nevertheless remain accessible to the public as information related to the nurses' public license information.

Thank you so much

Yeah, it's not the same as being on probation. That would show on your license. Technically, when you're in monitoring, you have an unencumbered license. I think because it's voluntary vs when they put actual restrictions that are involuntary and public record
