Priority question! DKA vs. Renal Failure vs severe hyperglycemia vs post cabg.
I have a question before I take NCLEX tommorrow. I remember having a type of questions where everyone was dying. I couldn't go by abc's. For example: What is most severe? Who would you see first? Renal failure on dialysis , DKA, someone immediate post cabg surgery, or hyperglycemic - 500. What would this be? So my take on it is that DKA is more of a priority than hyperglycemia. Renal failure not immediately life threatening cause being treated. So I am stuck on DKA or post cabg? Who is more critical? IS DKA considered airway, cause possible SOB.
