Well, like many of you - I'm faced with the tough choices between school (and tuition) and the bills that have to get paid. My company shut down in June, and we figured we'd be able to cut back and live on my husband's income while I went to school to follow my dream of being a BSN nurse.
But as the bills piled up, and he became less and less supportive, I was faced with the choice of standing up for school, or standing up for our current lifestyle.
The bottom line for me is I made a commitment to go to school, and I was willing to make any sacrifice of 'things' (our toys, even moving to a less expensive home if that's what it took).... to follow my dream. And that made things so much clearer. When I said school was number one, it helped prioritize everything else.
It also helped to end my marriage, as my husband got increasingly frustrated and then violent.... and that was one thing I could not take. He blames me for being selfish in going to school and not taking care of us, but I know deep inside I'm doing what is right for me and the kids.
I'm not saying my choice is the right one for everyone, but I do think that DECIDING .. and firmly sticking, provided focus and clarity when I needed it.
What have your choices been and what price have you paid?

I'd take school, of course! School will allow you to get that job that will help you get out of debt.
How much longer do you have in school? It too shall pass, very quickly!
