Presbyterian or Medical City?

Published

I applied to volunteer at both Presbyterian Dallas and Medical City Dallas. I was asked to come in to interview for both. I am not sure which hospital I should volunteer at? The reason I am volunteering is b/c I have not finished my clinicals yet and I was unable to apply for an intern/externship. I have heard great things about both hospitals. Any advice on which one to pick??

Thank you taking the time. :)

I am partial to Medical City myself. My son was treated there for leukemia and it was a wonderful, progressive, busy hospital. Presby is busy too and has a great reputation, but I personally don't have any experience with them. Presbyterian does have the benefit of being a direct stop for the DART train if that appeals to you.

I volunteered at Presby Dallas all throughout high school in the ED and women's services and loved it! I also worked there as an extern, and loved that as well. It's a great hospital, and all the volunteers I've ever had contact with have been a wonderful. Medical City is also a great hospital, as I had my baby there and had a great experience with all my nurses. I don't really know much about their volunteer program, but the staff is great and I would definitely recommend the hospital. Don't think you can go wrong either way! :)

Thank you both for the input. I really appreciate it! :)
