I did not pass the math PERT test at Broward college and am now considering to take the MAT0028 / MAT0028L - Prep. The sad part is that I already took this class in high school and yes I got 3 C and 1 B out of all 4 quarters. So I evidently I wasn't my best in that class. I am not quite sure if I should retake the Math PERT and see if I could go on to regular math. My teacher in high school said retaking it would be a waste and that it only counts as an elective. She also works at Broward college btw. Would taking this class hold me back in nursing and did you have to retake itor any classes, how was your experience? Keep in my mind I am very weak in Math and chemistry. I know I can pass the Pert but not quite sure if I can handle the class I will get placed in if i pass.

They offer a class that is half a semester and the second class is the second half of the semester. That might be good for you if you think you just need to get a little stronger in it. I believe it is m-th. That way you get exposed everyday and learn it really good. I would just take that class.
You will need to take some level of college alg. or higher and I believe Stats. CHem. has a lot of math conversions that you do. It isnt necessarily hard but there is a lot of math.
You can always retake the PERT. I have a friend that has taken it 3 times but she is in the last preclass before college alg. She said she is happy she took those classes...but research the teachers!!!!
