Preparing for the TEAS

Published

I am scheduled to take the TEAS test towards the middle of next month for SMC. Math is absolutely my worst subject:no:, so I purchased the ATI study manual. I am sooo NERVOUS!

I've been out of high school for the past 12 years and took my pre-reqs 4 years ago. I feel dumb and inadequate :banghead:(LOL).

Can anyone give me any tips or ideas on what to expect for the TEAS.

Thanks!:jester:

I took the TEAS almost 2 yrs. ago I'm about grad. in Dec!! but math is not my best subject either. The math on the TEAS is not very hard but the problem for me was that you use a calculator and it was more algebra type stuff, and my last algebra was some time ago and I made it a point to forget everything I learned. I think it's stupid to test on that type of math especially that's not the type of math you do in nursing school no algebra just dosage calculations which are pretty easy. Anyhow I went to my schools book store and bought a TEAS test prep it was a pretty small book but it had some math I hadn't seen in a while. I would just suggest working those problems, hopefully it will brush you up a little. Take a few deep breaths relax and good luck!!

Thank you so much for the advice.:specs:

It's been a few years since I took the TEAS, but the math on my test was very basic. Nothing more advanced than pre-algebra, such as 5+x=12.

I am horrible at math and did better on it than the reading comp.

Good luck!

I hope I get that version! Thanks for the advice.
