Preparation for the PAX Exam

I'm about to take the pax exam to enter the nursing program at my school. I have book that I study from but how did you guys who are in the program prepare for the vocabulary part? I've thought of looking at some words from the dictionary a few times a day but there are so many words. Should I study prefixes instead? Any advice would be very helpful! Thank you so much!
