I am not sure what you are referring to as vocational nursing. But I just got accepted into a LPN program and it is considered a vocational program so they do not offer financial aid. I had to take a pre-test and it was just general reading, math, and reading comprehension. And I did pass my pre-test, I received my congratulations letter on today. Yeah yeah...good luck to you also.

Just basic math skills..fractions, decimals, percents, division, reading graphs, some very basic algebra..all the basic math things you learned in school.

LVN-Licensed Vocational Nurse...LPN-Licensed Practical Nurse = same thing

I go to a vocational/tech school and received financial aid..I also took out a personal loan to cover the balance the Financial aid didn't cover.

Yeah it was very basic math, everything CT Pixie said and addition, subtrations, word problems and all that.

I won't pay a dime (unless i choose to) during school. My payments don't start until 6 months after I graduate. I plan on paying as much as I can every month during school to pay down the principal of the loan. And honestly I don't know (really, don't remember) what the monthly payments will be once the 6 month grace period after graduation will be.

I know of quite a few students in my school who are on a monthly payment plan during their course of study (15 months). I guess they didn't get enough through the Stafford Loans and couldn't get any other loans due to their credit. I am fortunate that my credit score has always been important to me and I pay my bills on time every month which makes it very easy to get a loan.
