Awhile back ago when first starting my career I did a year in a main OR but for travel issues quit. I did a few years in urgent aide and now im getting older looking for outpatient surgery. I was offered pre surgery and OR for ortho and was wondering which is better opportunity. The pro's and con's of each. THANK YOU!

I'm a pre and post op nurse. I've dabbled in OR and am friends with many OR nurses. Have you really forgotten what it was like to work as a circulator?
Out patient surgery is easy, great hours, no call. There is a big emphasis on speed. The more cases that get done. The more money they make.
I would never assume to know if OR or preop is better for you. You can put typical duties of a preop nurse in the search area of allnurses to find out what their day is like.
