pre requisits

Im from London and I have no idea what pre-requisits are. Can someone please explain them to me. I kind of have an idea of what they are. I just wanna kno wot i need to apply for a course in nursing in California. can anyone explain to me please.

These are classes you have to complete before you can even apply for nursing school. Some are classes that are needed before you can take a more advanced class EX: Algebra before Statistics and sometimes you would need prealgebra before Algebra...... Basic Biology before Microbiology and A&P. Kinda like crawling before you walk Hope this helps you
