Hello all. I am looking into getting a Nursing degree, but I am curious as to if you can generally get accepted to a Nursing degree program without the Anatomy & Physiology and Chemistry basic courses? With the program I'm wanting to apply for (i'm military), it seems most schools i've looked at require those courses before beginning the fall term of that school year. The location I am in (overseas military base) doesn't have these courses available to take until I move back stateside.
Does anyone know offhand what school(s) might accept me into a Nursing degree program (BSN) without these courses?
Thanks in advance.

hmm I dont know of any, but that would be nice! I just cant imagine any programs that dont require these courses considering so much we have to learn requires basic A&P knowledge. Now chemistry on the other hand...perhaps you may be able to find a program without a chem pre-req but even that is doubtful.
Others on this site may have some better advice.. good luck!
Thanks for the reply. It looks like I may have to put off applying for this program yet again until I can take those courses in the US. I'm not due to come back stateside until July 2009, but I'll be checking on board a US Naval ship, which will deploy and that will have it's own roadblocks on trying to finish these courses while working around deployments.
I'll get into Nursing one day...but for now, i'm glad I found this forum to find out all I can about it.
Again, thanks for your reply.

Look into Pima or Apollo colleges. They are super expensive but if you are looking for a faster way to get your degree.....
