Pre - Nursing Students

Published

Hello Guys :)

Just wanted to know were there any nursing students or pre - nursing in or around the Lawrenceville, GA area that would like to chat and maybe meet up for tea one day and discuss the "nursing school problem." After we've gotten to know each other of course :). I look forward to speaking with some of you ladies.

Thanks alot ?!

GPC is ok. Im planning to transfer to Georgia Gwinnett College in the spring. I have 5 classes left before I can apply to the program, ALL math and Sciences...

Ok, that's cool. I wanna attend GGC once I'm done at GTC. I heard that school is pretty nice as well.

What don't you like about GPC toya2oo6

So ANurseInPearls, is this your first semester in college or just at GTC. Are you finding the open lab and lecture dvd helpful?

@Callowayz The school overall is not bad, the tuition is good, but I am 30, I stopped a few years ago and recently started back. Unfortunately I was not putting all my focus into school so when I last went, I didnt withdraw properly which cause me to get an F and my GPA drop. I paid my debts to get back in, paid out of pocket for class, and they are still giving me a hard time about getting my financial aid back. (which FAFSA has already approved me for) So I wouldnt completely say its the school, more the financial aid department for me.

I've taken pre nursing classes before at another school in another state but like Toya2006 I did not withdraw properly because I took sick which caused me a few problems. So basically I'm starting fresh which sucks but if starting over helps me to be successful I am fine with that. I do, it's different. But I'm more of a read it on my own type of person.

Toya2006, I went through the same thing with not withdrawing properly but I'm having no problems with GTC financial department with getting grants though. I hope things get better because I know it's hard to pay out of pocket when it's free grant money available.

Well I'm 33 with 3 kids and I did the same thing! Geez... The things we do when we're young. I've paid or of pocket to try to redeem myself but it hasn't worked yet. GTC and a couple others give me the aid I need which I appreciate

I'm the youngest in the group. I'm 24 with a 1 year old daughter. And I agree I wish I was more wiser & never stopped but everything happens for a reason I guess.

Hi ladies! Starting GPC in the Spring for prereqs (planning on transferring to UNG for their nursing program). I'm almost 33 and have 3 children. I'm sure I'll be looking for some buddies once the process starts. I live in Cumming.

What is UNG? Is this your first time in college? I'm already 33 and I have 3 kids as well. Nice to meet you heathermb318

University of North Georgia. It is my first time in college. I did go to massage therapy school. However, those classes don't count as credits. On the bright side, I do think it will be very helpful for a lot of the sciences.

Nice to meet you!

So what are your courses for the first semester at GPC?
