C in anatomy HFCC

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello! I am planning on attending to the nursing program at HFCC for Winter 2019. I currently have an A in HCS and a B in Eng 131. The other requirements for admissions is a C or higher in Anatomy, psychology and math 131. I'm currently attending psychology class and I have a B, taking Math-131 in Spring but I'm fearing for my life in Anatomy.

I have a teacher who is very uncooperative with everyonw and pretty much almost everyone is either failing or have a C in the class. The ones who has a C is me. But whenever my parents would talk to me and say "YOU BETTER RAISE THOSE GRADES UP! ANATOMY IS EASY!", it's really not. My parents never attended college so they wouldn't understand.

I mean I try and study but it's not working, plus it's the end of the semester as well so it's kind of too late to raise it up, but I still see it as though I tried my best.

Do you think they would still accept someone with a C in Anatomy? My parents told me that they will NEVER accept someone with a C in anatomy

Well, first, you have a C and it is a minimum accepted grade. So, technically, you are fine. With that said, a minimum does not mean you are guaranteed a seat in the program. A minimum means you are able to apply and be considered. However, most likely there will be many more students who are more qualified than you.

I do not know what your school's policy on retakes, but one option you have is to retake the course. Another option is, do your absolute best to nail that last exam, so you can at least earn a B.

Good luck!
