Anyone Joined Their Student Nurse Association?

I'm curious, for those of you whose school has a Student Nurse Association that allows pre-nursing students to join, has anyone jonied it while still in pre-nursing? My school does have a Student Nurse Association, and does allow pre-nursing students to join. I'm considering joining it just to be a part of it (I'm applying for my program this semester), but wasn't sure how common it was that pre-nursing students typically join it, and I'd like to hear from those that have. Were they pretty accepting of you even though you were still in pre-nursing? Did you find it beneficial as a pre-nursing student? Any other thoughts on pre-nursing students joining are welcome as well.
