ANA has stopped teaching the Nursing Diagnosis

Seeing the ANA has decided to stop teaching the 'Nursing Diagnosis", can I expect to see more realistic nursing when I start Nursing School this January, 2018? I had taken a couple nursing classes in he past, and found the nursing diagnosis a real pain.

Welcome to allnurses. The ANA doesn't "teach" anything. What do you mean? Do you have some sources for what you're referring to?

According to the ANA, last year, their members voted to do away with the Nursing Diagnosis in schools, as it detracted Nurses with multiple patients from their general duties. It was deemed time consuming and unnecessary. I am asking if this has been taken out on Nursing Courses as it applies to the curriculum. I am old school, and was an LVN for several years in the 1980's and 90's. I went back to school or my RN, when I encountered the Nursing Diagnosis and was really confused with it. Thanks!
