Hello All,
I am a pre-nursing student. Any recommendations for a good book to read about nursing (RN) until I start school in the fall? Anything from basic knowledge, terms, do's & dont's..etc..
Thanks

"How to Survive and Maybe even love Nursing School" by: Kelli S. Dunham
-Kelli gathers information and puts it together in a "for the students, by the students" format. All the websites, stories, and advice have been more than I could ever ask for to prepare me for the long journey ahead. I hope it can do the same for you! Good Luck!

this book is very good, it shows you how to answer questions critically, dos and dont, rationales and fundamentals in nursing etc. to be succesful in ns you have to be able to think like a nurse...a totally different ballgame and test taking from a&p class.
many a students become c students in school because they lack testing techniques. for the price you cant go wrong www.half.com . they have the 2008 version also, to me they are the same so why spend 20 bucks on it. good luck in school

My boyfriend gave me this book called The Human Body. You can get it at Border's, Amazon, B&N, etc. It is an A&P/Micro type book and I love it. I am a first year student finishing up the LPN portion of school and I STILL use it all the time. :)
