Does nursing school consist of writing a lot of research papers? Once you become a licensed registered nurse, how often do I have to renew my license? What should I expect from nursing school and what is the hardest part of nursing?

I'm in the second semester of an ASN program, and so far only had one short research presentation we had to do last semester (w/a nursing research article)...I don't know what we'll have coming up in 3rd and 4th....I gather from reading posts that a lot of that will occur with BSN programs on up....at least I hope I don't run in to too much more in my program....I did all of that for my other BS in business!! UGH!!
Nursing school will be a LOT of learning new things and staying organized. Sometimes I feel like things are just flying at me from all over and it's all I can do to keep up with it....other times it's an unbelievable high when I score well on a test or have a great clinical day....it's a lot of work sometimes but I'm keeping my eye on the prize -- RN!!
Thanks for the info.
