pre-nursing gpa and clinicals

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I will be applying to nursing school in January and I was just wondering do they look at your overall gpa or just your gpa cumulative from the required classes bc I've taken other classes but it wasn't for nursing .... also once youre in the nursing program what semester or with what classes will you be doing clinicals ?

GPA calculation is program specific, so youlll need to check with the school you plan to apply to.

Clinicals typically start in the first semester once you're in any nursing program.

Thank you so much

Different programs use different calculations so ask the one(s) you are applying to which they use. Also clinical starts may vary based on program as well. Many will start clinicals 1st term. Mine had skills lab classes and simulations (clinical scenarios but with actors or manikins) first term and then we moved into clinicals in hospital/community settings starting second term.
