Pre- Nursing for Gainesville state

U.S.A. Georgia

Do anybody know what the classes are like at Gainesville state? What classes do you have to take? I just got accepted and wanted to know what classes I'll have to take. Any feed back would be good whether its about classes or anything. Thanks

Hey, I'm a pre-nursing major at GSC. The classes at GSC are pretty good, I enjoy them because from what I've heard from students at major universities the classes are much harder because you have to teach yourself. Pre-reqs at GSC are your basic core with Science-level Area D courses aka take Chem 1151 & 1152, (The classes aren't that bad), and in Area F you need Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Psychology 2103 human growth and development, Stat, and you need CPR. You need to get in touch with the pre-nursing advisor for GSC, Dr. Whiting. She's awesome, and she will help you everything you need to do. I am in her A&P class right now and she will help you a lot. I wish I had known her when I started GSC, but then again I didn't really know I wanted to do nursing yet so oh well. Anyway, good luck!

Thanks for the advice are you just starting?

BClaxSTU, are you saying GSU offers nursing

No you only do your pre-reqs there and transfer to the nursing school of your choice when you finish, so the two years you're there you choose the classes you take according to the nursing school you choose .
