I am a average A and B student. I graduated high school with a 3.6. In my first year of college in one semester I got all A's and 1 B. In the second semester I got A's and 1 C. I was doing very well in my perquisites for nursing until I made a HUGE mistake.!!!!! I was so impatient and wanted to get into the nursing program ASAP and wanted to finish fast so I could apply. I decided that since I have been getting good grades I could mybe take multiple science classes so I did. I decided to take Chemistry, Anatomy, and physio ALL together. I thought I could handle it but I had no idea how intense these classes were. I ended up with a 69% in Anatomy, 60% in Physio and 68% in Chemistry.I regret it so bad these 3 F's dropped my GPA to a 3.0. I know I can retake them and make my GPA higher. I am curenty retaking Chem and have a high B. But was wondering what are my chances of getting in a nursing program since I failed 3 major prerequisites. Thank YOU !

I think some colleges will throw out older grades if they are a D, or F if you retake them. I would try to find out if your college does that. A lot of school's are going to require that you make a C or better on your pre-reqs. Re-take them, then start applying to schools. 3.0 isn't terrible, not the most competitive, but fine.

Depends on the school and the retake policy of the school.
