I am not sure if this is just in Washington state but some community colleges in my area offer a pre-nursing, direct transfer agreement degree. Rather than obtaining your ADN/RN and then the RN-BSN route, you can complete all pre-reqs + gen ed at a community college for two years, then apply as a transfer to a university to complete your BSN.
I have recently completed all gen ed reqs within the past 2 years at a university and will transfer to a CC to complete the pre-nursing reqs, then apply to a a university that actually offers a BSN (my current university doesn't offer BSN, which is why I am transferring).
I know that this may seem like such an odd path for me to take, and frowned upon by some bc I have "wasted time and money", but this is what my heart wants to pursue. I would like any thoughts or advice, especially to hear if anyone else has taken this route or any other "non traditional" route to pursuing a BSN.
Thank you!

That's not how I did it, but it seems like a good option and it's not uncommon. I'm not sure why anyone would frown upon it.
