Has anyone had any experience they are willing to share about the practicum course work at Walden University? I have been more than pleased with my experience so far and wanted some insight as to what I can expect in just a few short weeks.
My preceptors are lined up through the 576 required clinical hours. I would mostly like to know how the work requirements compare to previous quarter work requirements. I am curently taking Advanced Health Assessment and Advanced Pharmacology.
Thank you in advance.

I have just finished the program. You will have the same amount of writing requirements plus practicum hours. I hope you weren't expecting a drop off in didactics as I was. It was overwhelming at first, but your get used to it...good luck, and keep truckin!

Hey Mark. I will be starting the FNP program at Walden in August and was trying to get info on how the contracts work for the clinical sites. Do I contact the potential preceptor, the facility, or both? Where do I find the contract paperwork? Is the paperwork kind of like applying for a job where I have to give them my work history, criminal history, vaccination records, etc.... Will I have to provide proof of my vaccination records? I usually don't get the flu shot. Do you think that will be an issue with most clinical sites? Have they asked for yours? Thanks for your help!
