PP Brain sheet?

I am a new grad on a PP floor and am trying to find the best way to organize my day. At the beginning of shift we get our assignment sheet/SBAR that has the majority of mom/baby's info: delivery stats, history, etc. What Im finding hard is how to keep track of things like my assessments, VS, meds, wet/dirty diapers, feedings etc. I've been writing on the back of each pts SBAR but its not working for me. Does anybody have anything that they use to keep track of all of this stuff per couplet?

Thanks!

Create your own with what information you need to stay on track. I usually write my assessment and feeds and meds on my kardex and check things off as I go.

For assessments, to save time and space only chart on your paper the things that are not normal-nothing normal and items specific to the unit's accepted assessment. And learn to abbreviate- 3F(up arrow)UB for '3 fingers above umbilicus' for location of the fundus. And use a highlighter to highlight those nursing actions specific for your shift, if your info comes pre-printed off the computer. Oftentimes there is stuff for the other shifts as well. By highlighting, your eyes are drawn to what you need to do and you can cross them off when done.

I made my own brainsheet that I revise here and there. It was after using some other nurses' templates and deciding I really had to organize things my way. I love it and would be lost without it. I'd be happy to share if you're interested.
