powerlessness as a diagnosis

I have to write a nursing diagnosis, I'd like to use powerlessness but I'm not sure if I'm wording this correct.

Powerlessness r/t no sensation to BLE as m/b "I don't know if I'll ever be able to walk again."

I'm not sure if I can use this as a r/t? it sounds medical to me... Help please and thank you

    I would do it as "Risk for Powerlessness."

    Goals: The person will continue to make decisions regarding his/her life, health care and future.
