Potting mix, pleurisy or something worse?

Hi all

I do a lot of gardening and although I hear a lot about the dangers of potting mix, fertilisers and the like, I find I can not work in a mask and gloves, although I wore gloves last night as I had cuts on my hands. Have any of you nursed people suffering from infections caused by these agents?

I have had pain in the chest and back, weariness, aches and a few sharp pains, sneezing and general tiredness and the Dr says he feels it's pleurisy with the creps he can hear in my lungs. I wonder though after hearing all about one girl I know who had legionnaires from ingesting potting mix. I know I should know better and be careful but I am a bit like a bull at a gate when I garden.

If you have nursed people with this what symptoms did they present with, is it contagious? what meds were they put on and how long does it go on for? I am on second course of roxithromycin and clavulin duo but they don't seem to be doing the job.
