Potential UTA transfer student

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

Hey guys!

I have a few questions, and I'm really hoping I can get some answers.

Background: I would be transferring from TCC (a community college) with my basics. However, I had a rough start with my secondary education... Different story for a different day. I was really just wondering what I need to do, or what I need to be aware of.

Questions:

1. What should/can I take at TCC and what should I take at UTA?

2. What GPA is ideal to be accepted into the nursing program?

3. What do I need to do to prepare myself before going too far into this?

Thank you all in advance!

Hello I am also a potential transfer student considering transferring to UTA. I am currently taking basics /pre requisite as well so I'll let you know what I do know.

First of all, my current GPA is 3.7 and science GPA is 3.4 I still need micro . My advisor said this is too low to consider UTA's program. Science GPA should be at 3.7 , since we are transfer students it's a little more competitive.

Now, for what you should take at TCC would be litterly everything besides the nursing courses. (TO SAVE MONEY).

All core classes definitely and sciences. You can apply to UTA and finish up the sciences there if you wish , it'll just cost more.
