Hi everyone, I graduated nursing school 5 years ago and just recently passed my nclex exam (it was a long grueling process) now since I have been out of school for so long the CNO is requiring I do upgrading. I have 9 theory elements which I (as it stands) can do most of it through Athabasca university. I also have to do 400 clinical hours. The CNO will NOT give information on how to obtain this upgrading - " it is solely the students responsibility to find out how to get this upgrading" they won't even tell me
if the classes I can take through Athabasca will satisfy. Has anyone else had to do this? Where can I do 400 clinical hours? I've called school that are on their approved list and no one offers clinical to people not in school.
Any information would be greatly appreciated !
Thank you
