Please help me! I'm sure there are lots of posts on this but I haven't found one that directly relates to my situation.
I have been a nurse for 6 years but only worked in direct patient care for about 2 years before leaving the bedside. I was working in the medical/legal field before deciding to return to the bedside.
Just this week I received an offer and scheduled my post-offer physical. I have nasty hormonal migraines that are I sometimes experience muscle tightness prior to the migraine. On Tuesday I took 2 old muscle relaxers thinking nothing of it (wrong I know). They were the last 2 and I don't have the bottle anymore. I got my offer on Thursday and had my post-offer physical today, not thinking anything of it, but my UDS came up positive for benzos. The nurse asked me if I was on medications, which I told her I'm on migraine medications and truthfully I don't know how they all work together. My test is now being sent to an outside lab for testing and the doctor will supposedly get access to my pharmacy records?
I'm in PA. What are your thoughts? Will my offer be rescinded? What do I do now?

They will probably send it off for metabolites. If you didn't take a benzo it should come back fine. What were the pills you took?
Thanks for your reply! I toolbar Flexeril. Once I calmed down and my senses kicked in, I realized there's no way that's what triggered the result. It's not a benzo.
I'm thinking it's a combination Donny migraine medications that I take daily and then prn when I have an attack.
My daily meds are: coq10 200 mg bid, magnesium 500 mg daily, topamax 300 mg, micronor, multivitamin all per MD and I take a aa hair vitamin because I'm trying to grow my hair out.
When I have a migraine attack, I take imitrex injections, compazine, and Sulindac. When i had my most recent attack this week Tuesday-Thursday, I repeated this series a total of 4 times before I had total symptom relief.
I don't believe I still had the flexeril in my system, and like I said, it's not a benzo. I did some research on my other meds, and they potentially can cause false positives.
Supposedly the doctor doing my UDS can access my pharmacy records. What do I do now? Do I have a chance? Can I explain this? I've never taken a benzo in my life except for maybe during surgery when I was younger.
Sorry for the typos, I'm writing my reply on my iPhone. Let me know if you have questions.

Just breathe. I think you'll be fine. Especially if you didn't take a benzo. The additional test should clear you. Let us know what happens

Well as long as everything you take has current Rx's I think you'll be fine. I can't speak from experience, but I know there are plenty of others who have been in similar situations. Good luck.
Ok. I hope so. The Flexeril is not a benzo and none of the other medications I take regularly or prn are benzos, so I think it's a false positive based on my daily medications and prn medications. Do you agree?
Also, the Flexeril was old and I no longer have a Rx for it and I took the last of it this week.
