Nurses Job Hunt

Published

I recently applied and was set up for an interview at a hospital in an area that I am looking to relocate to. I was in said interview for about an hour with 3 members of the nursing staff. The interview seemed to flow very well with all members of the interview panel asking questions. Before the interview had even started I filled out a background check application but told that if I wasn't offered a position or didn't accept a position if one was offered, the application would be shredded (I have never had this done first thing in an interview before). I also filled out a sheet signing that I understood the work description and was given a packet about the facilities insurance plans and who I could speak to if I had any questions if it came to it.

Towards the end of the process, the conversation was lead towards pay, uniform, holidays, scheduling, and discussing certifications that I had currently and what I would need with the facility. Before the interview was ended I was told that they were interviewing other applicants and that I would hear from them by the end of the week at the latest. I told them that I worked 3 nights this week (they are aware I am currently employed) and could possibly miss their call if they tried to reach me in the middle of the week which they were accommodating about asking what time would be best to reach me. I feel like the interview went well, should I be worried about the dreaded "we are still interviewing other applicants" statement?
