what degree do you want to end with?

I have been reading the forums for about three weeks and I never knew of the different types of degrees that you could receive. What degree do you want to end with, what do you plan to do with it and what made you choose whatever degree it is that you want? What made you want to do what ever it is that you plan on ending with?

Right. PhD has been the norm for those going into research.

PhD is a doctorate, however. Doctorate of Philosophy. Normally study sciences or liberal arts, not philosophy.
