JHU interview

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi,

I just scheduled an interview with JHU SON for BS/MSN program (Fall 07) and have a couple questions in mind...

1) is the interview required for All applicants or by invitation only?

2) if anyone has had the experience, can you please pass on some tips about the interview? and what kind of questions are usually being asked?

Thanks a bunch! and Good luck to everyone :)

hi everyone,

my sympathies to those who also received rejection letters from UCSF. :o disappointing, yes, but after reading some of the posts on that UCSF thread, i didn't feel as bad because it seems like some candidates WAY more qualified than me didn't get an interview either...

i just scheduled my interview for JHU. i decided to fly out to baltimore in mid-january since i've never been and to squeeze in a little trip to DC since i have a friend there. when the lady scheduling my interview found out that i had never been to the school, she added on some time after my interview and said they would provide a tour.

just wanted to ask those in the earlier posts how their interviews went and if there are any tips you could offer. hope everyone had a great christmas!

I just had my JHU phone interview, and I agree with Smile123 that is was friendly and casual. The interviewer asked why nursing and why hopkins, and besides that, she mostly talked about the program and answered my questions. All in all pretty easy as far as interviews go! Good luck to you!

Hi,

Both Hopkins Hospital and Hopkins University aren't in great areas but they aren't all that bad either. Baltimore is small enough not to be overwhelming but big enough to be interesting. It has good food, a fair amount of cultural things, and prices are reasonable compared to many other cities. As far as cities go I love Baltimore. Good luck to everyone applying at JHU. Jules
