I am a new grad LPN and I am also a 7 yr licensed nurse assisatant moving in a few months .It is very important for me to know how much do cna's make in the Atlanta Metro Area? Im asking b/c while I might have to wait for my license to be processed, I may have to work as a cna and will have to pay rent of in the range of 900-1100 and I need to be able to do that. If someone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.Brown Eyed Girl, LPNAKANURSE FOR LIFE

Can you get a roommate?

I checked the median salary range, it's $23,800... seems like your rent would be too much for the CNA job...

Hi !!! I was on the Emory hospital website and looking at their job openings and a tech2 pay was 13.48 that was for what they called mid the min was 11.52 or so. I am in Orlando and after 3 years at a huge hospital only making 9.91 and supporting 3 kids with a 700 rent. I think you could make it as long as you pinch pennies while you wait on ur ga license.

hey 1st it depends on where you live in ATL. ATL is very big. I would look for an Apart on the outskirts of atl. dont try to move too close to mid town or so called metro atl (very expensive). also try to get an apartment guide. i think the website is something like http://www.apartmentguide.com or http://www.rent.com. you can get really decent apartments for less the 900 a month at least for 1 bedroom. i moved here from NY. we brought a house in coob county real close to I285. the bad news is CNAs dont get paid much here. like 9-12 dollars a hr. they get less than CMAs. The good news is CNAs are in high demand, so you shouldnt have a problem getting a job.

Good luck
