hi everyone. my husband and i visit central florida quite frequently, about 4x per year, mainly the disney area, but have researched the surrounding area quite a bit as far as where we'd like to live someday in the future. well, my husband's company just informed him that they are restructuring, and he may be able to transfer to florida sooner rather than later.
my concern of course is where i will find a job. i have been an rn for 15 years, most of my experience in er/icu/case management. the pay rates here in the mid-atlantic states are pretty good, and i know florida's does not match up but how much per hr can i expect with my years of experience? just trying to figure out if i can afford to work part-time or per diem since i don't need benefits.
also, could you tell me about some of the health facilities in the orlando area, and why you like to work there, or why you don't like to work there. the areas we are looking at housing are clermont, winter garden, kissimmee, windermere. thanks in advance.

Please use search and review the other (dozens or more) threads available, regarding Florida wages.
There are generally 2-4 inquiries regarding this, each week.

Go to: www.nursevillage.com and go to Personal Sites and then City Guide. It has the top citites for nurses to live.
Orlando and Miami were on that list.
I'll be moving to Orlando in Spring of 2008 and saying goodbye to the cold of Milwaukee, WI!!
